WEEKEND COLLECTIONS

Cornwall Waste Care Ltd is committed to getting the job done. Our core business is holiday home waste and recycling collection specialising on collecting on your departure days. We cover the whole of Cornwall and West Devon. We collect 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year and we don't start collecting until 10am on the day of departure.

However we also offer house clearance services, general and garden waste removal, as well as services like post tenancy clearance. You can count on us to be professional, timely, efficient and make sure you’re satisfied every step of the way.

RECYCLING & ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY WASTE DISPOSAL

Everything that we collect is recycled. Glass, tin, plastics, paper and cardboard as standard but all the other waste is burnt at the CERC, ( Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre), pronounced KIRK as in Captain Kirk. The heat produced heats water that produces steam, that turns the turbines that produces electricity that is sold to the National Grid. From every ton of waste burnt, 1/4 of it turns to ash. This is sifted to take out any metals which are recycled and the remaining ash is used as a base aggregate to make new roads. Everything is recycled, zero goes to landfill.
